FAQ

Got a question?

We have answered the most common ones here.

What actually is Usenet?
Usenet is a worldwide discussion and data network that has been around since 1979. With our access you download from thousands of newsgroups at lightning speed – anonymously and at the full speed of your line.
How far back does the archive go?
Over 4,000 days – that is more than eleven years. Articles from that whole period are still available with us, at no extra cost and in every plan.
Do I need any extra software?
You need a newsreader. We recommend free tools such as SABnzbd or NZBGet. Our help section has step-by-step guides.
How does billing work?
You can pay monthly or yearly. Payment is by SEPA direct debit, credit card, various cryptocurrencies or iDEAL/Wero. You can cancel at any time – with no hidden fees.
Can I try the access first?
Yes! With our three-day test plan for €1.98 you can check speed and availability at your leisure. After that the access renews at €5.98/month and can be cancelled any time.
Are my connections secure?
Every connection runs fully encrypted over TLS/SSL – at no extra cost. And we keep no logs: neither of what you download nor of the newsgroups you open.
How fast is it?
You get the full speed of your internet line – we do not throttle. Redundantly connected platforms in Europe and the USA and up to 100 simultaneous connections make sure of it.
