For downloading nzb files from various newsgroups, you need a usenet access provider (newsserver) and a nzb downloader (newsreader), for example Spotnet 2
Spotnet is a very user-friendly program that allows you to search and download easily within one single software.
How to set up Spotnet easily in a few steps:
Step 1: Download the latest Spotnet version from www.spotnet2.eu
Step 2: When Spotnet has been downloaded successfully, start setup by clicking on 'Spotnet.exe'. After installation you will see the following screen.
Please use the following settings:
Poort: 119 (default), for SSL change it to 563 or 443
Verbindingen: Choose the number of connections that are provided in your easyusenet.nl package
Gebruikersnaam: enter your easyusenet username
Wachtwoord: enter your easyusenet password
Step 3: When all fields are filled, click 'Verbinden'. Spotnet starts immediately with downloading spots (download information), user replies, spamfilters etc.. Please consider that the initial installation from Spotnet will take some minutes, to build up the database. You can see the download progress in the right bottom.
Step 4: As soon as the client has finished to build up the database, we need to change the language. Therefore, click on 'Bewerken' > 'Taal' and select 'English' and click on 'restart later'. On the left side you can find various filter options - click on the gray text next to 'Filters', select your preferred language - option and restart Spotnet one last time.
Step 5: Please use the internal Spotnet search to easily search and browse the content you are looking for.
Step 6: Found what you were looking for? Great! Just double click and a new tab will open in Spotnet with all spot information. To start downloading please use the blue button on the upper right hand side.
